Paul Augustinus

Paul Augustinus was born in Denmark and grew up in Kenya,Tanzania and Zimbabwe. He qualified as a Geologist and worked in this industry for a year before becoming a full time artist. The majority of his career has been spent in the wilderness in someof Africa's last remaining bastions of wildlife.

Augustinus spent 10 years in Northern Botswana game reserves, 3 years in the Kaokoverldg in Namibia and 8 months in the rainforests of Equatorial Africa. He has also travelled extensivelyin North America, Asia and Europe in the pursuit of material forhis wildlife paintings. He currently lives in East Africa and is working on 2 book projectsfor publication in 2009/2010.

As well as participating in group shows at the Tryon Galleriesin 2001, 2003 and 2007, he has also had outstanding solo exhibitions at the gallery in 2006 and 2008.
