Laurence Dingley

Even the briefest meeting with the artist Laurence Dingley conveys his infectious enthusiasm for life. In his work there is a spontaneity and freshness of brushwork and palette which reflects his preference for the outdoor studio – moving directly from subject to canvas. This is plein-air painting for real. Laurence travels throughout Britain and Europe in search of subject matter, spending several weeks every year painting in the West Country, particularly the ever popular north coast of Cornwall.
